It’s Women’s History Month and as a woman-founded company, we would like to celebrate women’s achievements.
It is easy (and valid) to feel overwhelmed, anxious, and downright scared about women’s rights ATM, but we want to take the time and energy today to highlight the wins (big and small) women have made in the last few years.
- Women-owned businesses have surpassed their male counterparts in several key areas according to the latest report from Wells Fargo Impact on Women-Owned Business.
- Women-owned businesses have increased by 94.3% and have increased employment within them but 252.8%. Read more here.
- Women are still living longer than men (although, apparently this doesn’t mean they’re living healthier lives). Read The New York Times article here.
- In 2024, there was a 131% surge in women’s sports viewership leading to a 56% year-over-year increase in advertising impact! AND revenue projections for women’s sports surpassed $1 billion globally, highlighting the importance for businesses to invest even more in women’s sports.
- As of 2025, women have surpassed men in several key educational attainment metrics, in the United States and Globally.
- Bachelor’s Degrees: As of 2024, 47% of women aged 25-34, held a bachelor’s degree compared to 37% of men in the same age group.
- Advanced Degrees: As of 2022, approximately 13.7 million women had earned a master’s degree surpassing 10.2 million men with the same level of education.
While we must acknowledge that the current political climate is bleak and worrisome, we hope that for a few minutes, we can all celebrate women and their achievements and be hopeful of more wins to come.
